Making a Difference in the Communities We Serve
We take pride in our commitment to serving the communities where we work and live. Our partners and employees are encouraged to volunteer their time and talents in their communities. The following are examples of areas where we have worked to "make a difference."
Cooperative Education Programs
Over the past twenty-five years, we have participated in Cooperative Education Programs with several universities in the Delaware Valley. Through these programs, we have employed over 1,000 students, in many cases giving them their first experience in the business world. We have been a Loyal Partner with Drexel University for over a quarter of a century and have been recognized as a Founding Member of the Drexel Vanguard.
Hero Scholarship Fund of Philadelphia
We are proud to be associated with the Hero Scholarship Fund of Philadelphia, with whom we have participated in their Thrill Show Fund Raiser for more than a decade. This organization’s events provide college scholarships to the children of police officers and firefighters killed or disabled in the line of duty. In recognition of our support, we have received Hero’s Award of Merit.
Old Newsboys' Day
For many years, Heffler, Radetich & Saitta LLP personnel have been active participants in the Old Newsboys’ Day sponsored by the Variety Club of Philadelphia, a program that raises money for children with special needs. Each year, our partners and employees volunteer their time to sell the "Happiness" editions of the Philadelphia Inquirer, which highlight Variety’s children.
Other Areas of Public Service
We encourage each member of the firm to volunteer time and expertise to the civic, business, charitable, and community organization of their choice. Our staff has written articles for various organizations and media throughout the Delaware Valley. Our tax professionals have also volunteered their time to participate in an "Ask The Tax Expert" program sponsored by a local news radio station during the tax filing season.
