Heffler, Radetich & Saitta LLP Proudly Welcomes Kia Bucker as a Principal
Heffler, Radetich & Saitta LLP, a leading CPA and consulting firm, is pleased to welcome Kia D. Buckner, CPA to our firm as a Principal. Ms. Buckner will be responsible for managing the firm's audit department which will include coordinating the firm peer review and instituting and monitoring the quality control procedures and staffing for all attestation engagements. She will also play a key role in business development and strategic planning.

Ms. Buckner's professional experience includes over 18 years of audit experience within Big Four and regional accounting firms. She has served a diversified client base, including public sector entities, quasi-governmental entities, not-for-profit organizations, higher education institutions, private foundations, privately held and Fortune 1000 commercial entities and employee benefit plans. Her responsibilities have included planning and developing audit strategies, directing the performance of financial and compliance audits, and providing advisory services in connection with quality assurance and internal control process assessments.
Ms. Buckner has taught courses on governance, internal controls, financial reporting best practices and accounting and auditing research techniques. Additionally, throughout her career in public accounting, she has served as the vice chair of the Quality Control Committee and has solely assisted the Professional Practice Director with the development of opinions on complex technical research matters.
Ms. Buckner graduated magna cum laude from North Carolina A&T State University with a B.S. in Accounting. She is a CPA in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (and other states) and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) and the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce as a Business Volunteer for the Arts. Ms. Buckner serves on the boards of the Headlong Dance Theatre and the Philadelphia Writing Project (as the chair of the board).

Brendan Lee Joins Heffler, Radetich & Saitta LLP
Please join us in welcoming Brendan Lee to our Marketing Services Group as a Marketing Coordinator. Brendan was previously an Account Manager for Liberty News Distributors in King of Prussia, PA.
Brendan attended Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, PA and holds a bachelor's degree in Marketing. He was also a four year Varsity Letter NCAA Division 1 Lacrosse Player.

Ashley has a bachelor's degree in Accounting from Holy Family University. She was previously an Operations Accountant at BNY Mellon.
Alexander Hoinsky, MBA, CPA Joins Heffler, Radetich & Saitta LLP as Senior Manager
Alexander "Al" Hoinsky, MBA, CPA joins Heffler, Radetich & Saitta LLP, a leading certified public accounting and consulting firm based in Philadelphia, as a Senior Manager in our Healthcare Services Group.
Mr. Hoinsky is a Healthcare Senior Executive with over 30 years of experience in both proprietary and not-for-profit Healthcare Organizations, and has held the positions of CEO, COO, and CFO of multi-hospital systems. For the past 20 years, Mr. Hoinsky has concentrated on "turning around" distressed health care companies. He has strong skills in financial and operational issues affecting hospitals, physicians, and other health care providers. His expertise includes hospital management, government compliance, cash improvement, revenue enhancement, cost benchmarking, asset recovery, turnaround services, financial restructuring and acquisition/divestiture.
Mr. Hoinsky has been court appointed by federal district and bankruptcy courts and has testified as an expert witness. He has spoken nationally on numerous healthcare issues, including Healthcare Mergers, Acquisitions and Strategic Alliances, Working with Distressed Healthcare Organizations, and Managing and Financing Healthcare Receivables.

"We have had a long standing relationship with Al over the years and his background and expertise is a natural fit with our current service offerings. Mr. Hoinsky is a Certified Public Accountant, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and an MBA from Philadelphia University. Mr. Hoinsky also served four years in the United States Air Force. He is a current member of the New Jersey Society of Public Accountants, the Healthcare Financial Management Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators.
Mr. Hoinsky resides in Cinnaminson, NJ.

Heffler, Radetich & Saitta LLP Welcomes Derek Hazelton to Our Firm
Heffler, Radetich & Saitta LLP, a full-service certified public accounting and consulting firm, recently welcomed Derek Hazelton as a Junior Accountant to our Healthcare Services Group. Derek earned a bachelor's degree in Accounting from Morehouse College and a certificate in Fraud and Forensic Accounting from LaSalle University. Derek, who joins our firm with over eight years of audit experience, most recently worked for Novitas Solutions, Inc. and Highmark Medicare Services, Inc.
Brian R. Miller Promoted to Chief Operations and Information Officer
Brian R. Miller, who joined Heffler, Radetich & Saitta LLP in July 2010 as Chief Information Officer, has taken on an expanded role within the firm as Chief Operations and Information Officer. In his new position, Brian will continue to serve as the Managing Director of the Technology Service Group and will now serve as a member of the executive committee and oversee firm-wide operations.

Brian's forward-thinking and his ability to connect our vision with strategy execution has taken the firm to the next level in our technology capabilities. Brian has demonstrated the knowledge and leadership necessary to significantly improve our internal IT operations and the executive committee believes this newly created position is a natural expansion of his responsibilities.
As Chief Operations and Information Officer, Brian will work to improve the efficiency of our overall firm operations. He will be responsible for strengthening both administrative and operational processes and procedures to meet the growth goals of our organization.
Brian, who holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from The Pennsylvania State University, has over 30 years of IT experience in a variety of disciplines including strategic planning, enterprise architecture and IT product and service delivery.
Brian is a member of the Information Systems Audit & Control Association. Within the community, he is a member of the Board of Directors of Friends of 78 - the sponsoring organization for Willistown Boy Scout Troop #78 - and is Treasurer of the United Church of Christ at Valley Forge in Wayne.

Principal Jerry L. Johnson Receives Distinguished Community Leadership Award from Operation Understanding
Operation Understanding presented Principal Jerry L. Johnson and Governor Edward G. Rendell with the Distinguished Community Leadership Award in October at the National Constitution Center. This special recognition comes from an organization dedicated to developing young African American and Jewish leaders to help build bridges across the communities of Philadelphia.
